Industry analyst, Michael Pachter, says that PC gamers act "like racists." This comes from a recent interview Pachter conducted with the Daily Star. The topic of discussion turned towards the PlayStation 4 Pro and if it would be something the PC community would be interested in acquiring.
"I think PC Gamers are like racists; they only like there own kind and they have no interest in venturing out and mixing with other races," Patcher told us.
"PC gamers are arrogant twits who are convinced what they do is better than what anybody else can possibly do," continued Pachter with his explanation of why PC gamers wouldn't be tempted by Sony's new PS4 Pro.

To Pachter's credit, there are plenty of PC gamers out there that unironically call themselves the "PC Master Race." Because nothing screams "not racist" more than tying yourself to an ideology used by Nazi Germany.
I stick the the PC because of the limitless capabilities of the PC. I have all playstations except PS4 and xbox1 and a gamecube, but there is no reason for me to invest in a new gen console. I just don't have the time for gaming as much as I used to and shelling out $3-400 for something that I will use maybe once a week would not be worth it. The fact that my PC has old hardware (6+ years old?), but can still handle (barely) modern games is nice. I can still play old games no problem, play old console games on emulators, and that alone makes it a much more worthy investment, meaning I do not have to buy an older console to play older gen games. My PC is probably used more nowadays for coding and messing around in photoshop anyways. I could upgrade when needed to keep the bad boy alive (which will probably cost as much as a new console or more ), but the fact that I will still have access to my previous content is a huge plus.
Don't get me wrong, consoles are nice, but for me the only pushing points for a console are the exclusives, which kind of bums me out as I don't like shelling out hundreds of dollars to play 1 or 2 games, and then a couple of years down the road have to do the same to play a new game on a new console. Another old selling point for me with consoles was inviting some friends over to play local split-screen play. Getting older, it's hard to do that as people relocate or don't have time to play games. Hell even some games don't allow for split-screen anymore.
There will still be plenty of people who will shell out money for consoles for the sheer convenience of couch gaming on a nice big screen, and if I had limitless money and time, hell I would probably do the same.. Just my 2 cents on the matter.
