Sure, this isn't explicitly gaming related but the Bob Ross craze knows no bounds. Twitch just announced that starting tonight, there will be a weekly airing of every season of The Joy of Painting with one season shown each week. Once all 31 seasons have aired, they'll start all over again. A full run of the series is expected to take about seven months before it loops back again.

The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross will kick off tonight at 3PM (PT) and run to about 9:30PM (PT). Twitch also notes that each year on Bob's birthday, they will do another marathon like they did this year.
Oh, and of course we’ll celebrate Bob’s birthday every year by running an all-episodes marathon starting on October 29th.

Finally, we want to do something with the proceeds from /bobross that would make Bob proud. Proceeds will go to:
    • The rights holders – the wonderful folks who have kept Bob’s work alive all this time
    • Root division, our local arts organization supporting artists as well as teaching children the arts
    • St Jude, an amazing cancer research organization
    • Twitch Creative community support

Bit confused about the schedule, so it's a full season every monday night? (which annoyingly starts at 11pm gmt), and if so the 31 seasons will pass in about 7 months.

Close enough, it's only important because it's Bob Ross :P.
Watched a fair bit of the stream when it was running because i used to watch it as a kid.

Tired of Twitch flagging all of your previous streams because you were listening to music? Don't worry about that any more because Twitch has introduced over 500 royalty-free tracks that you can use in live and archived videos. This simply means that your videos will not get flagged by the Twitch audio recognition system when you listen to these royalty-free songs.

    by Shawn Zipay
TwichCon 2018 officially kicked off today with a keynote presentation by CEO Emmett Shear. During the presentation, the company revealed a bunch of neat little statistics. More importantly, however, is the fact that they also revealed a bunch of new features coming "soon" to the Twitch platform.

Let's just get the statistic stuff out of the way first.

Twitch is Suing Users that Posted Porn, Violence, Racism, and More to Artifact Section
    by Shawn Zipay
The company says these users harmed their business.

In March 2019, a bunch of idiots got together and flooded the Artifact section on Twitch with all sorts of random content. This seemed to include everything from multiple hour loops of "Ayaya" to things like showing full copyrighted Hollywood films like Avengers: Endgame, full episodes of various copyrighted television shows like Malcolm in the Middle, a whole lot of uncensored hardcore porn like raw gachi (NSFW if you decide to search for it), to uncensored footage of the Christchurch mosque terror attack, and an assortment of videos full of extreme racism and misogyny.

In other words, it was a real shitshow. ...
