Star Wars Battlefront will reportedly include dedicated server support. Speaking with PlayStation Lifestyle at TGS 2015, the Lead Heroes Designer Jamie Keen gave the following statement. We know it’s skill-based, but we don’t know if that means no more dedicated servers. So is the skill-based matchmaking going to use peer-to-peer connections or can players expect dedicated servers?
Jamie Keen: We’ll still have dedicated servers. Absolutely. It’s one of the hallmarks of making sure we deliver an unparalleled online servers for the game.

It's a sad time where having dedicated servers is actually considered news worthy. Also, they're still sticking with matchmaking and don't plan on having a server browser. Again, one step forward, two steps back.
Star Wars Battlefront is slated to be released on November 17 on the PC (Origin), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Call of Duty is still very much alive and well. There's been a ton of positive buzz for this year's Call of Duty based off of the beta periods alone. It is also constantly in the top 10 for NPD for months after each release. Hell, even Advanced Warfare was still among the top 10 for last month's NPD and that game has been out for 10 months now.
Evolve died because they decided to monetize every single thing they could on top of the base cost of the game. That soured a ton of people away from the game right out of the gate. It was dead on arrival. Not to mention it just wasn't all that fun beyond a round or two. It also didn't help that you could very well be stuck with a class/role you hate playing as. Titanfall lasted quite a while outside of the PC. The PC part may have been fixed if it was also released through Steam and not an Origin exclusive. The game had decent legs on the Xbox One.
In all of these games, it was still entirely possible to form parties and play with friends.
