Five Nights at Freddy's 4 was originally slated to be released this Halloween. Apparently, the allure of something was too strong for creator Scott Cawthon since he has now pushed the release date up to August 8. Yes, the fourth chapter in the series will be released exactly one year after the first game was released.

Cawthon did note that there will be a "free update with extra content" released on Halloween in order to "keep the Halloween date special." The announcement came from a variety of YouTube streamers that Cawthon privately asked to reveal the news. This is, unfortunately, one such video of the reveal.

Don't forget that there is also a movie coming for Five Night's at Freddy's.
