In addition, net revenues for FIFA, Madden, and Hockey Ultimate Team went up 96% compared to the previous year at the same time. It's also interesting to note that when compared to the previous year, net revenues on the previous generation of consoles (excluding Wii and Wii U) were up 3%, while other consoles (presumably Wii) went down 45%. The PC side of things is also down 24% when compared to the second quarter of the 2014 fiscal year.
I'd wager to say most sports fans who pick up their game arn't interested in graphics cards.
I think that may be it for EA PC releases for Q2 outside of FIFA 15. Late sales from Titanfall aren't going to do jack squat on PC. That game effectively died on that platform, much to my disappointment.
Last year, you saw carry over sales from Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3 earlier on in the year. FIFA 14 was also around at about the same time.
So yeah, EA doesn't really release much in Q2 of any year from what I'm seeing. I can't imagine many studios do well in this time because it's the Summer months. It's notoriously known to be a complete drought when it comes to game releases.
