Valve Offering Refunds on Earth: Year 2066
Earth: Year 2066 was not a good game. Sure, it was still an Early Access release but it was disturbingly bad even for that stage of release. It didn't help that the developer constantly deleted threads and posts from the Steam Community section for the game.

Garry's Mod LUA Exploit Leads to Spread of "Coughing Virus"
Earlier today, some malicious code started to spread through many Garry's Mod servers. This code forced a server to push a .dll file to a user's computer. This would then spam the word "cough" to friends of the affected player and also through in-game chat. It would also change the affected user's name and also append exclamation points to the front of affected servers (so as to appear first on the server browser when sorting by name). New Half-Life Segmented Speed Run Record Clocks in at Under 21 Minutes
Previously, the record for a Half-Life segmented speed run was sitting at 29 minutes and 41 seconds. The newest record, uploaded just yesterday, sits at 20 minutes and 41 seconds. Shaving off nine minutes in a run like this is absolutely insane.

Rumor: Steam Controller Available in October or November
A source close to PC Gamer has informed them that Valve's Steam Controller will be released in either October or November of 2014. This claim comes from a "trusted hardware source with knowledge of Valve's Steam Machines." Their source continued on to say that the completion of the controller would be the "final piece that would precede the availability of most Steam Machines." Developer Says Steam Greenlight Going Away within a Year as Steam Becomes More Open
According to Tweets (via CVG) made by Jonathan Biddle of Curve Studios, Valve may be getting rid of their Steam Greenlight service within the next 12 months.
