Nintendo and Valve just announced that both Portal games are coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. The compilation is called Portal: Companion Collection and it bundles both Portal and Portal 2 together for $19.99 (USD) through the Nintendo eShop.

In case you have no idea about either of these games, Valve provided a little synopsis for both of them, which you can read below. It should be noted here that The Companion Collection marks the first time that Portal has appeared on a Nintendo platform. It was developed for the Switch in a collaboration with Nvidia Lightspeed Studios.

Originally released as part of The Orange Box, Portal was heralded as a ground-breaking puzzle platforming game that changed the way players could approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment. Throughout Portal, which is played from a first-person perspective, players must solve physical puzzles and challenges by opening portals to maneuver objects, and themselves, through space. The game also leverages a darkly humorous narrative as players adventure and puzzle their way through the mysterious Aperture Science Laboratories.

Portal 2 is the hilariously mind-bending adventure that again challenges players to use wits over weaponry in a funhouse of diabolical science. Using the highly experimental Portal device, players once again face off against a lethally inventive, power-mad A.I. named GLaDOS. Players meet an expanded cast of characters as they think their way through dangerous, never-before-seen areas of the laboratories and a wider variety of portal puzzles. Plus Portal 2 also includes a co-operative game mode with local, split-screen and online multiplayer.
