  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Trailer Features Clinton, Bush Sr., Thatcher, Powell, and Saddam Hussein

It's a party and everybody is invited!
A three wolf head logo on paper currency. The words Call of Duty Black Ops 6 are below.

Sure, the initial marketing push for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was quite lame and, as some have said, "very cringe." This new trailer, though? This new trailer actually seems pretty damn good. At the very least, it's extremely intriguing.

Hey, you remember the Gulf War? You know, Desert Storm? Iraq? Kuwait? If you're a regular of the site, I think you're old enough to remember the Gulf War, or at least remember some things about it. If you're a Call of Duty fan, you probably weren't even born until at least a decade after the Gulf War ended.

Whatever the case may be, it looks like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will focus on the era of the Gulf War. Well, at least part of Black Ops 6 will seemingly focus on the Gulf War. We all know how the Black Ops games like to play hopscotch with their time periods.

This live-action trailer features the likenesses of Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Colin Powell, Margaret Thatcher, and Saddam Hussein.

It's not clear yet if these notable people will actually show up in the game itself or if they are being purely used for marketing. Activision does have The Truth Lies website going right now. There's a whole 90s television vibe going on and obvious ties to Black Ops 6's tagline of The Truth Lies. I'm not going to lie here, seeing some of those old 90s ads and news segments really took me back.

The full reveal for Black Ops 6 will take place at the end of the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9th. Following that Showcase will be the Black Ops 6 Direct. The Xbox Games Showcase airs on June 9th at 10AM (PT).

Additionally, we have heard that Black Ops 6 will once again be a cross-gen title. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are in development despite it being the year 2024 and the current platforms being out for four years now. We also hear that Black Ops 6 will be available on Game Pass day one.

That one user thinks it's a little less cringe now :P.
The first look reminded me of Watch Dogs 2-esk kids running around with spray paint.
