We still have a couple of weeks left in 2025, but so far it looks like Battlefield 6 is the year's best selling title in the United States. This somewhat surprising reveal was shared by Mat Piscatella, the executive director at Circana (formerly NPD Group).
Through a BlueSky reveal, Piscatella says that Battlefield 6 has maintained its position at the top of the sales charts since the game's release in October. Following Battlefield 6, the other top titles for 2025 include: NBA 2K26, Monster Hunter: Wilds, Borderlands 4, and EA Sports College Football 26.
While it hasn't resonated well with fans, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is sure to do impressive sales numbers. However, Black Ops 7 appears only in the seventh spot on this list. That could be due to an actual decrease in sales or because the game's November 14th release date gave it only 15 days for sales to be included in Circana's reporting period.
Piscatella notes that Black Ops 7 was the best selling title for November. However, the franchise "experienced a double-digit percentage full game dollar sales decline when compared to November 2024." Ouch.
With an entire month of data left to collect for the full picture, it's possible that Battlefield 6 could drop down from that top spot once all is said and done.

Piscatella also shared a few additional details about software and hardware sales figures for 2025. Spending on hardware in November 2025 was down 27% compared to November 2024. That may be because the average price for new hardware hit an all-time high of $439, which is up 11% compared to November 2024.
PlayStation 5 was the best selling console in November, followed by the Nintendo Switch 2, followed by the Nex Playground. Yep, something called the Nex Playground sold more units than Xbox but Xbox Series consoles at least placed third when talking about dollar amounts.
