Time to see if your PC is up to snuff.

DICE, by way of the official Battlefield Twitter account, just revealed the minimum and recommended PC specs you will need for Battlefield 2042. Now, while they do specify that these are the requirements for the open beta, it's not hard to imagine that these will also be very close or identical to the specs you will need for the final game when it launches on November 19.

Looking at the specs that they suggest, there are definitely a couple of things that stand out to me. First off, they aren't really saying what resolutions and framerates they are targeting with any of these specs. Secondly, the CPUs they listed, specifically on the AMD side of things seem a little off. The AMD Ryzen 3600 is clocked slightly slower than the AMD 2700X and it has two fewer cores (4 fewer threads), but the newer architecture (Zen 2) on the 3600 means it often outperforms the previous-gen 2700X. When it comes to gaming this means that the Ryzen 3600 has higher average framerates and higher 1% lows compared to the 2700X. I'm really not sure what's going on with these requirements.

Anyway, here are the current requirements that may or may not change prior to the game's full release.
