DICE announced that they will effectively scrap Battlelog for joining and browsing servers. In its place will be an in-game UI where players can join servers, much like it was for all previous Battlefield games up through Battlefield 3. This change will begin with Battlefield 4 and will make its way to Battlefield Hardline, and also be included in Battlefield 1.The new UI in Battlefield 4 will reportedly include the following features.
A "recommendation engine to suggest maps, modes, and more.
"The new Battlefield user interface is designed to improve the experience of playing with friends and to bring relevant content to your attention."

The UI change is reportedly in testing by a small number of players and should be added to Battlefield 4 later this Summer. We have not yet seen images of the new UI in question.

To be honest I didnt mind the concept of battlelog, as it as quite interesting. It was just a pitty that it worked so badly.. Constantly getting issues such as not being able to connect to servers because it believes I'm already in a game while I'm not. Can't cancel a server joining because it will bug out the system for 5 minutes. Being forced to close origin and browser and open everything again to probably be greeted with the same error as before...
I would have respected battlelog much more if it actually worked and they used it as a universal battlefield platform, where they would have used it to include previous battlefield games (All the way since Bf1942) , port and restore the stats from them (BF2 and BF2142 HQ) and use battlleog as a platform to restore their servers as well after the gamespy shutdown.
Being able to be on Battlelog, stop playing BF1 and running BFBC2 or BF2142 whenever I feel like from it, all still while in the same platoon and using that old join as group system (That they had implemented in the beggining of BF3) would be epic.
