The launch will include the new Duelist class.

Grinding Gear Games announced the 1.0 release date for Path of Exile 2 during gamescom Opening Night Live. Path of Exile 2 will launch as a fully free-to-play action RPG on December 11, 2026. A new class, Duelist, will be added at the time of this 1.0 launch.

The new Duelist is a "sword-focused melee class," a first for Path of Exile 2. The Duelist is said to be a master of both sword and shield who can "control the battlefield through fast, aggressive and adaptable melee combat."

Grinding Gear Games says there will be special milestone rewards offered ahead of the 1.0 launch. They suggest that both new and existing players should register for their marketing emails to claim the rewards. They note that once Path of Exile 2 launches, those who register will be emailed a code to claim any rewards that you've unlocked.

The 1.0 release will also add the final two Acts to the game, which have remained absent during this Early Access period. Path of Exile 2 is available on PC, Steam, PlayStation, XBOX, and Epic.
