Remedy Entertainment announced this week that Control Resonant, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Control, will release worldwide on September 24, 2026. The release date reveal came during Sony's new State of Play where Remedy showed off another new trailer for the game.
This trailer shares a look at Dylan Faden's "dramatic journey as he is sent by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) into the heart of a supernatural crisis." A new threat, one separate from either the Hiss and the Mold, is twisting reality in on itself throughout New York City. Dylan is joined on his journey by Zoe de Vera, an ally of the FBC. Some fan favorite characters from Control, Simon Arish and Emily Pope, are also returning for this sequel.
FBC Director and Dylan's sister, Jesse Faden, is missing. It's up to Dylan to become "humanity's last line of defense" in what Remedy says is their "most expansive game ever." Control Resonant will also be the studio's most localized game to date."
CONTROL Resonant will feature full audio, interface, and subtitles in English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish (Spain). Additional interface and subtitle support will be available in Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
Control Resonant is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic, and GeForce NOW on September 24th. A Mac version is also in the works and will be released via Steam and the App Store later this year. There are several pre-order bonuses available for the game alongside various digital and physical versions to choose from.
“As he navigates a distorted Manhattan shaped by paranatural forces and shifting realities, the story explores themes of identity, power, and sacrifice. Once a test subject of the FBC, Dylan must now harness his evolving abilities, confront his past, and learn to trust others in a world he was never meant to be part of. In doing so, he must rediscover his humanity - and decide what he’s willing to lose to save what remains,” said Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of CONTROL Resonant.
