This upcoming weekend, everyone will get to play Path of Exile 2, with its latest content expansion, for free. The free weekend officially runs from May 29 to June 1 at 1 PM PT and includes access to everything Path of Exile 2 currently has to offer, and this does include the new Return of the Ancients content expansion.
During the free weekend, Grinding Gear Games will offer the Early Access Supporter Pack for Path of Exile 2 at a 50% discount. This purchase includes full access to the game plus 150 points to spend in the in-game store. Just as a reminder to you, Path of Exile 2 will eventually be free-to-play but not until it's out of Early Access. There is no word yet on when Path of Exile 2 will leave Early Access though.
This free weekend and sale will be available on Steam, Epic, and Xbox.
Path of Exile 2: Return of the Ancients introduces the Runes of Aldur league, where players can complete eight challenges in-game and earn a piece of the Knight of Aldur Armor Set, along with a totem decoration for their Hideout. These microtransactions are purely cosmetic and do not affect your character’s power in any way.
The expansion also introduces a reshaped endgame experience, powerful new Uniques, expanded crafting systems, and a completely reimagined Atlas Tree.
