Pearl Abyss announces that their open-world action-adventure title, Crimson Desert, has sold over 5 million copies.
The studio says that this sales marker is a "significant milestone for the company." In addition to the milestone, Pearl Abyss also shared a look at some of the new updates and content that they have been working on. Crimson Desert sits at a 78 on OpenCritic. Most of those reviews were made prior to Pearl Abyss releasing several very significant improvements to the game.
I will also flatly admit that after my first session with the game I was on the verge of flushing it completely. I gave it another lengthy gameplay session and I started to really enjoy the game. Even with the improvements made to the game, the first few hours are a bit of a slog though. I'm now up to 53 hours and only on chapter 7 of, I think, 14 chapters.
