The Japanese version of the PlayStation Blog has some interesting insight as to how Resident Evil Requiem will run on PlayStation 5 Pro consoles. When Capcom's latest entry in their survival horror franchise his store shelves on February 27th, PlayStation 5 Pro owners can expect to see 4K 60 FPS performance.
This 4K60 figure was stated by Resident Evil Requiem game director Akishi Nakanishi. When talking about the PlayStation 5 Pro performance for Requiem, Nakanishi says that PS5 Pro owners will get 4K resolution, at 60 FPS, and that's allegedly with ray tracing turned on.
Those who own higher refresh rate devices will be able to take advantage of even higher framerates. Nakanishi says that the game can hit up to 120 FPS if ray tracing is turned off, with the average framerate being closer to 90 FPS. Again, this is only for the PlayStation 5 Pro.
When playing on the PS5 Pro, you can take advantage of the Ray Tracing toggle. With it turned ON, you can play in 4K at 60fps with full ray tracing enabled. If you turn it OFF, players with high-refresh-rate monitors can reach up to 120fps, with an average of 90fps. We have invested a significant amount of time into optimization.
