Well, Skyrim was released again today. This time, Bethesda Game Studios announced and launched The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2. Today's release on the Switch 2 comes some 14 years after the game's initial release in 2011.
The Anniversary Edition release includes the base game along with all three official expansions: Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire. The Switch 2 release includes improvements such as: enhanced resolution, improved load times, performance optimization, Joy-Con 2 mouse support, motion controls, Amiibo support, and more.
The Switch 2 release today also includes some exclusive content from other Nintendo IPs. These include the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as well as the Hylian Shield, and Champion's Tunic from the same game. There is also access to hundreds of Creation Club items.
