Techland has just released Hotfix 1.2.1 for Dying Light: The Beast, addressing a couple prominent bugs that players have reported since the game's mostly smooth launch. The new update is available now on PC and is expected to roll out on consoles "soon."
This update comes after players immediately reported a few immersion-breaking issues, including a broken day/night cycle and a bizarre bug that caused rain to fall indoors.
What Hotfix 1.2.1 Fixes
While Dying Light: The Beast has received praise, the post-launch experience was hampered by a few key bugs. This hotfix directly targets the two most reported issues:- Broken Day/Night Cycle: This resolves the major bug where the in-game time would progress, but the environment would get stuck in perpetual daylight or nighttime.
- Indoor Rain Bug: A fix for the odd weather effect that caused rain to appear inside buildings where it shouldn't.
Free APEX Car Skin for Players
Along with the bug fixes, Techland announced a special bonus for early adopters. Once the hotfix is live on all platforms, a free APEX Car Skin will be waiting in the in-game stash for all players who pre-ordered the game or own the Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition.Techland announced the update on their official channels:
