During today's PlayStation Showcase, Capcom shared a new look at Pragmata. This is a game that was announced back in 2020 and not seen again until 2023. Since that 2023 reveal, we haven't heard much of anything until today's new trailer and release date "window" announcement. As it stands, Pragmata will be out in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Today's new footage shows off the "out-of this-world setting" along with playable characters, gameplay, and a bit about the sci-fi focused story.
Pragmata is set in the near future. The game shows off a seemingly lifeless research station on the moon where spacefarer Hugh meets up with an android named Diana. The two "find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a hostile AI in control of the station." Only through working together can they hope to survive.
As Hugh finds himself needing to work with Diana to return to Earth, they must each rely on their own strengths and abilities to overcome the many obstacles in their path. In a twist, players will control both characters – at the same time – in this single-player adventure. At the heart of the action is Hacking, which enriches combat with a sense of strategy and excitement unique to PRAGMATA. More information about the gameplay experience is coming soon, so please stay tuned.
