Bethesda officially announced a special "IV" stream that will take place on April 22, 2025 at 11AM ET. Unless Bethesda is being extremely cheeky here, this seems to be a clear indication that the studio is ready to reveal The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster.
The stream will air both on Twitch and YouTube. The hope from fans is that after this mysterious stream, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will be released. Of course, there is absolutely no announcement nor confirmation of that happening yet.
For a long while, the rumors from "insiders" said that the game would be shadow dropped today, which is obviously false.

The existence of a remaster for Oblivion hasn't exactly been kept secret. The latest leak came from Virtuos, the studio that is presumably leading development on this remaster. The first mention of an Oblivion remaster actually dropped back in 2023 when Microsoft mistakenly made some of its court documents public when they were in a legal battle with the FTC over their planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Those aforementioned court documents also list a remaster for Fallout 3. If you enjoyed this whacky adventure in the lead up to the Oblivion remaster, you have months (probably years) to hype yourself up for that potential Fallout 3 remaster to be released.
Anyway, maybe we'll get The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered tomorrow. Maybe we won't. At the very least we will get something announced for "IV" tomorrow.
