The game is expected to be shadow dropped next week.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster has been rumored for a while now. The current rumors suggest that Microsoft will shadow drop the game next week (April 21-25). That current rumor may actually hold some water thanks to a handful of leaked screenshots that found their way to the public today.
The images seem to be originally sourced from Virtuos' webserver. Since being shared online, Virtuos has since pulled the images from public view on their site.
The leaked image show that this is a remaster and not a remake. The idea is that the visuals have been updated significantly with Unreal Engine 5, but the game logic itself is still being handled by Gamebryo (... oh boy). The images show side-by-side comparisons to the original release, as well as pointing towards there being a Deluxe Edition coming.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered looks like it will be released on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. The Deluxe Edition of the game will give players access to some extra items, including horse armor. Yep, even in 2025 Oblivion is charging you extra for that damned horse armor.
Several of the leaked images can be found below (unless Microsoft or Bethesda come a knockin').
