Nvidia has launched an experimental AI assistant tool named Project G-Assist (or Project G-Assist System Assistant), details of which are available here.
Project G-Assist, integrated into the latest Nvidia app, is available for GeForce RTX desktop users. It operates locally on all RTX AI PCs (30 Series and above) and enables users to control various PC settings, including optimizing game and system configurations, monitoring performance metrics like frame rates, and adjusting settings for select peripherals such as lighting, all via voice or text commands.
G-Assist also provides real-time diagnostics and recommendations for addressing system bottlenecks, improving power efficiency, optimizing game settings, overclocking the GPU, and more.
For additional details on Project G-Assist, including information on creating custom plugins, please refer to the new Nvidia blog post about the AI tool.
The Nvidia app was also updated today with a few new features. DLSS overrides have been expanded, allowing players to fine tune the quality and performance of their games.
The new NVIDIA app update adds a new feature to the “DLSS Override - Super Resolution” setting for users who have GeForce Game Ready Driver or NVIDIA Studio Driver 572.83 WHQL, or newer installed. Previously, it could activate DLAA or DLSS Super Resolution Ultra Performance mode in games and apps lacking native support. Now, you can enable any DLSS preset, or alternatively customize the resolution scaling between 33% and 100%.
These settings are crucial for optimizing the visual experience on your display device.
- Display Scaling: This setting controls how the content is scaled to fit your screen. It is particularly important when using high-resolution displays, as it ensures that text and images are displayed at a comfortable and readable size.
- Display Color: This setting manages the color profile and calibration of your display. It allows you to adjust the color temperature, gamma, and other color settings to achieve accurate and consistent colors.
