The Lead Architect behind the PlayStation 5 console and father to Knack, Mark Cerny, will host a special Technical Presentation on something PlayStation 5 related tomorrow. Sony made an announcement earlier today that on Tuesday, September 10th at 11AM (ET), they will give "a technical presentation that focuses on PS5 and innovations in gaming technology."
Sony did not state that this presentation is for a PlayStation 5 Pro hardware revision, but they also sort of did exactly that. The announcement post on the PlayStation Blog links to a YouTube page where this PS5 Technical Presentation will air. Prior to being named "PS5 Technical Presentation hosted by Mark Cerny" it was named "PS5 Pro."
So yeah, Sony is going to announce and reveal the PlayStation 5 Pro tomorrow. We don't know exact details on how the Pro will differ from the base PlayStation 5 hardware, but there have certainly been a ton of rumors floating around over the past several months. If nothing else, tomorrow's reveal will hopefully stop any more PS5 Pro rumors from surfacing so that we can all get back to what is really important: Nintendo Switch 2 rumors.
Tomorrow's reveal will run for nine minutes and include plenty of Cerny's soothing dulcet tones. Hopefully Cerny ends the presentation with the announcement of a Knack 3 being a PS5 Pro exclusive launch title.
