Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive officially launched Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 today. This is the release that is available to everyone, not just those that pre-ordered the expensive version of the game.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a third-person action shooter with plenty of explodey bits, big weapons, and melee action. Having just completed the main campaign last night with a couple of co-op pals, I can say that the game is pretty damn good. I wish performance was better (it even struggled at times for my buddies with better GPUs) but it was overall a damn good time.
Beyond the campaign, which can be played solo or with up to two co-op partners, there are also the co-op PvE missions that take place at the same time as the campaign. There is also 6v6 competitive PvP game modes if that tickles your fancy instead. A bunch of post-launch support is also planned for Space Marine 2, with a look at the "Battle Plan" roadmap seen below.
The upcoming content includes new missions, enemies, weapons, customization options, and more.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
