Those of you who loved playing through the old-school style shooting in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, will be happy to hear there is more on the way! On June 18th, the "Forges of Corruption" DLC will be released from Focus Entertainment and Auroch Digital. This new DLC is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on that date. A Nintendo Switch release is happening, but it will arrive later.
Forges of Corruption offers you new environments to explore, new heretics to purge, and even new weapons with which to do the purging with. New enemies include the Hellbrute, the heavy weapon-wielding Havoc, and the Terminator with its lightning claws. New weapons include the Multi-melta and the Missile Launcher.
If you don't yet own Boltgun, there will be a Forges of Corruption Edition of the game released at the same time as the DLC. This combines the base game with the new DLC and will be available to new players at a reduced cost.
On top of this new paid DLC, there will also be a free Horde mode added to the game. This mode offers four difficulty levels and its own set of achievements.
There will also be a new navigation Guide for those that need some help getting through the levels. This Guide feature will be optional, of course, and will be added as part of an update that also includes "numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements."
