The 28.10 update for Fortnite just dropped today and with it comes the long-awaited release of Metal Gear Solid's Solid Snake. Players who own this season's Battle Pass will gain access to the Solid Snake skin after they complete a handful of special unlock quests. These quests aren't too difficult but may take a few rounds to complete.
Today's update also includes some special Metal Gear Solid themed items. These include the EMP Stealth Camo that will let you become nearly invisible for a short time. Once disabled, the device will shoot out a shortrange EMP effect that can damage enemy shields and even bring vehicles to a stop. You'll be able to find the EMP Stealth Camo in chests, on the ground, or bought from Snake himself.
There is also the Cardboard Box to be found. Just like in the Metal Gear games, you can use the box to hide in the environment and get the jump on some unsuspecting enemies.
Those that work through the two pages of Snake's quests will get several bonus rewards granted to them. There are loading screens, a Stun Knife Pickaxe, spray, emotes, banner icon, the Metal Gear Mk. II Back Bling, Slider Glider, and Snake Skin Wrap.
On top of that, if you finish both pages completely, you will get a second Solid Snake skin. While the first skin resembles Snake as he appeared in Metal Gear Solid, the second skin is the Old Snake skin from Metal Gear Solid 4.
The update today also unvaults the Anvil Rocket Launcher, unlocks access to the Super Level Styles in the Battle Pass, and offers up a few balance changes and bug fixes.
