I don't mind. If people want to spend more to play early, let them!

I'm indifferent to the whole idea.

I think it's kind of dumb that people get to play earlier. Spending more shouldn't offer a "head start" on other paying customers.

Get that Premium Edition and play three days early!

Looks like the latest growing trend with game releases is to offer a more expensive Premium or Gold or whatever edition that grants you access to a game a few days ahead of its official release.

Starfield did it with their $99.99 (USD) Premium Edition. Today, Payday 3 is doing an "Early Access" release with their Silver and Gold editions. Diablo 4 did the same thing earlier in the year, as did Madden NFL 24, Remnant 2, and many others.

Of course, this isn't exactly a new idea. The whole pay more to play early has been around for some years now. Madden has done this for several years running. FIFA and NHL also did the same in previous years. MMOs like Guild Wars 2 did this back in 2012 and The Elder Scrolls Online followed suit in 2015. However, it seems like the idea of having two release dates, one for those willing to pay more and one for everyone else, has just gained a ton of momentum over the past year.

How do you feel about it? Do you like having the option to pay more to play a few days ahead of others? Do you not care? Do you think it's maybe getting out of hand? Cast your vote and share your opinions below!

I don't really care, but i don't usually get around to playing games until at least a year after they come out, the last time i pre ordered something was probably Tekken Tag 2 in 2012.
It is dumb, but i'm pretty sure it's Jeff Gerstmann who said "if people want to pay extra to bug test the game before it comes out for everyone else, go right ahead".

These key moments include the NFL Kickoff, the NFL playoffs push, the Super Bowl, and the NFL Draft. And for those that like sponsors, you may be thrilled(?) to learn that the NFL partners of Pizza Hut and Snickers will also serve as sponsors for the MCS. Apparently these will...

MUCH MORE THAN JUST A ROSTER UPDATE

When people look at a yearly franchise like Madden NFL, they think that it’s merely a $60 roster update layered on top of the same, old game. While this really hasn’t held true now for the past few years, people will still hop on social media or forums and shout that cliché until they’re blue in the face. That or they’ll smugly entertain themselves by saying how “NFL 2K5 is still the best football game ever...
