Skull Island: Rise of Kong will hit PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on October 17, 2023. This game is based on a series of novels focusing on Skull Island by Joe DeVito as well as the King Kong film by Merian C. Cooper.

Rise of Kong is a third-person action-adventure title where you take Kong "on a journey of vengeance" where you will "fight to claim your rightful place as King of Skull Island." The King of Kongs is also hellbent on avenging the death of his parents at the hands of "the ultimate alpha predator: The saurian terror Gaw."

Kong will get access to powers and combat techniques along his adventure. He will take on waves of primal beasts and take on challenging bosses.

Skull Island: Rise of Kong will start at $39.99 (USD). There's a Colossal Edition at $49.99 that includes "eight exclusive film grains featuring the ability to experience a red-tinted rage mode and the original look that harkens back to the classic Kong of Merian C. Cooper, the Kong style pack with eight different colors so you can choose your own Kong, a boss-rush mode allowing you to defeat all the titans of Skull Island, and a behind-the-scenes exclusive pack including looks at in-game artwork and the all-original orchestral soundtrack."
