Good news for those that like probing and/or being probed: Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed now has a release date. The date in which this remaster of the classic action title will be out is none other than August 30. That date doesn't hold any significance, I just wanted to phrase that sentence like that.
You can currently pre-order Destroy All Human 2: Reprobed for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Those of you who do pre-order will get instant access (though Steam seems to be having some difficulty at the time of posting) to a spin-off game that was just released to tide over eager fans. Pre-orders start at $39.99 (USD) with a special Dressed to Skill edition coming in at $54.99.
The spin-off is called Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage and it is a multiplayer focused title. It lets two players team up in couch co-op or with up to four players total if playing online. There are four modes in Clone Carnage: Rampage, Armageddon, Race, and Abduction. It also comes with six maps to play across.
If you don't feel like pre-ordering Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, you can pick up Clone Carnage separately for $12.99.
Destroy All Humans 2 takes place in the 60s and will take you to places inspired by real-world locations such as Bay City (San Francisco), Albion (London), Takoshima (Tokyo), Tunguska (Tunguska), Solaris (a moon base).
This remake is a follow-up to the first game, Destroy All Humans, which was remastered in 2020.
In Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed, a faithful remake of the most acclaimed entry in the fan-favorite Destroy All Humans! franchise, our charming but evil alien invader Crypto (138!) will unleash his large arsenal of weapons onto five huge open-world areas: Bay City, Albion, Takoshima, Tunguska, and the Moon! Players will experience the swinging ‘60s in all its glory and deal with Hippies, the KGB, and many other threats. To roam quickly around the large areas, Crypto can use his jetpack; his hoverboard; and of course his flying saucer, equipped with a neat little arsenal of destruction of its own. The saucer received an interesting update: abducting humans in certain numbers (you'll have to follow the recipe!) will unlock new skills. And last but not least, Destroy All Humans 2! - Reprobed features a 2-player, split-screen coop-mode so you and a friend (or whatever floats your boat) can destroy all humans together!
