An undocumented change fixes one major issue players had.
The most recent update for Horizon Forbidden West fixed made an optional change to one of the game's main features that went undocumented in the changelog. Players are now able to enable a feature that will allow players to instantly pick up resources.
When turned on, this feature will allow players to pick up resources without having to wait for a short animation to play out. Sure, the animation isn't all that long, but it really starts to add up over time when you are constantly having to harvest resources over and over again. Eurogamer notes that this change also works when Aloy is mounted.
To enable (or disable) the instant pick-up option, just visit the options in the pause menu. There should be a toggle there.
This seems to be the latest small, but significant change that developer Guerrilla Games made after some fan complaints. Another change recently made Aloy a bit less talkative when doing menial tasks or when players were trying to solve a puzzle.
