Amazon Prime Video is apparently working on a live-action series based off of the God of War video games. This is according to a new report by Deadline.

Deadline says that Amazon is in talks with Sony to adapt God of War into a live-action series. Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, the creators and executive producers on The Expanse are said to be interested in joining this series. They will also possibly be joined by producer on The Wheel of Time, Rafe Judkins.

Though nothing is set in stone just yet, it seems like this has a strong possibility of being given the greenlight by all interested parties. Sony has already approved live-action adaptations for The Last of Us as well as Twisted Metal. These series are in addition to the live-action films of popular PlayStation IPs that include Uncharted and an upcoming Ghost of Tsushima movie.

Amazon is also working on other non-Sony specific game adaptations. They are already working on a Fallout TV series as well as a Mass Effect TV series. Both of these will be coming to Prime Video in the future.

It's not yet clear as to which God of War game would serve as the basis for the TV series. It would be a safe assumption to say that it would be modeled after the latest God of War game for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, which features a more fatherly Kratos.
