Square Enix and Applibot Inc. announced today that there will be an in-game crossover between NieR: Automata and the upcoming mobile game NieR Re[in]carnation. This mobile game is an "action command RPG that features turn based battles and is the creation of an all-star team including creative director Yoko Taro, composer Keiichi Okabe from MONACA, and producer Yosuke Saito."

So what exactly does this special crossover content include? Well, it includes some well-known and loved characters from Automata. Yep. 2B, 9S, and A2 will be available as characters that you can summon in Reincarnation. There is a promotional video, seen below, that shows off what I mean.

There is also a new social media promotion that allows you to win prizes, including an original poster signed by Yoko Taro. Find out more on Twitter and Facebook.

    About NieR Re[in]carnation
NieR Re[in]carnation is the first mobile title in the NieR series, and is developed specifically for mobile devices.

All Prayers Lead to The Cage.

A girl awakens on a cold stone floor.
She finds herself in an infinitely vast place filled with buildings that touch the very sky.

Guided by a mysterious creature who calls herself Mama, she begins to explore her new surroundings.

To reclaim what she has lost—and atone for her sins—she sets off on a journey through this place of unknown creation.

...A place known as The Cage.
