This is the first mobile release in the NieR franchise.

Square Enix and Applibot Inc announced that North America, Europe, and Korea will get NieR Re[in]carnation on July 28th. This is the first ever mobile title released in the NieR series. It is in development for iOS and Android devices.

This releases is from the mind of creative director Yoko Taro, composer Keiichi Okabe, and producer Yosuke Saito. This will be an "action command RPG," and you can pre-register for the game to be notified of its availability right now. Because of the already massive number of pre-registrations, there are various rewards that have been added, with more to come if even more people pre-register to get the game. For instance, at 600,000 pre-registrations, all players will get enough gems to complete 15 Summons for free, in addition to receiving valuable materials needed to enhance characters.

NieR Re[in]carnation will be a free download that offers in-app purchases.
