2B or not 2B.

A preview for Season 3 of The First Descendant was shared over the weekend courtesy of NEXON. Season 3 for the game will include a new Lounge feature, a continuation of the game's overarching storyline, new playable character, a Hover Bike, and a special crossover featuring content from NieR: Automata.

During PAX East, NEXON held a developer panel that showcased a bunch of the new stuff coming this summer to The First Descendant. Season 3 is titled "Breakthrough"...

The character of 2B from NieR: Automata sure does like making guest appearances in other games. Today, the YoRHa android was added to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. Not only is this another 2B guest appearance, but it's also the second fighting game 2B has appeared in. The first was 2018's Soulcalibur 6.

Square Enix announced that NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition will hit the Nintendo Switch on October 6, 2022. Those who are already sold on picking up the game can pre-order a physical edition right now directly from Square Enix for $39.99 (USD). There is also a digital release, through My Nintendo Store, for the same price.

Square Enix released a new "Combat 101" trailer for Babylon's Fall that will give fans a little overview of the combat and various mechanics in the game. It only took four years.

It may have taken Square Enix four years to get it ready, but the patch that will address most of the jank in the Steam release of NieR: Automata is very nearly here. Square Enix is going to release the update on July 15, 2021 but you can read about all of the planned changes right now.

Is it really a crossover event if they're the same franchise?

Square Enix and Applibot Inc. announced today that there will be an in-game crossover between NieR: Automata and the upcoming mobile game NieR Re[in]carnation. This mobile game is an "action command RPG that features turn based battles and is the creation of an all-star team including creative director Yoko Taro, composer Keiichi Okabe from MONACA, and producer Yosuke Saito."

Coming to the West for the first time ever.

Over the weekend, Square Enix announced that they are bringing a remastered release of the classic NieR Replicant to the West for the first time ever. NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... is being "rebuilt" for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The original release came out only in Japan back in 2010. In NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... players will play as a brother who is on a quest to cure his dying...
