Delayed for the second time.
Ubisoft has been remaking Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for a little while now. It has, unfortunately, been delayed once again. It was already pushed back once from being released on January 20, 2021 to March 18, 2021. This new delay pushed aside that March 18th release date to a new and unspecified date.
The first delay this year was attributed to difficulties working during a pandemic. Of course, the pandemic is still going on, which means those difficulties probably haven't lessened any for the development team behind the game.
The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake was announced just last September. The remake of the 2003 game is being built using the same engine that Ubisoft uses for the modern Assassin's Creed titles. As with most other remakes, this one will feature improved visuals, better animations, and the usual bells and whistles.
The company announced this new delay via Twitter.
