Long before Sonic the Hedgehog ever appeared on the big screen, he was known for his video games and various animated series. Not letting the allure of Hollywood get to his head, it seems as though Sonic is headed back to the small screen. That is assuming a briefly public tweet from Netflix is to be believed.
In a tweet that Netflix has since deleted, the company revealed that they are working on a Sonic the Hedgehog 3D animated series. We aren't really sure why they pulled the tweet but here is what we have learned about what to expect.
We know that the shot will begin streaming at some point in 2022. It will be led by Wild Brain and Man of Action Entertainment in production roles. Wild Brain worked on the Carmen Sandiego series for Netflix. Man of Action Entertainment created Ben 10 and co-wrote the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon for Disney.
