Plus details on the new tournament season.
DBFZ Master Roshi

Bandai Namco passes along word that Master Roshi will be introduced to the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster starting in September. This is the same guy that has trained the likes of Goku, Gohan, Krillin, and Yamcha. He's apparently also known as a bit of a horndog? I'm not 100% sure but that's the impression I get given that the press release says he's a "naughty" character.

He will bring "great martial arts skill and devastating power with him" this September.

Also of note today is an update to the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament season. Details on that can be found below.

  1. In September 2020, we will reveal the names of the competitors who will be invited to compete in the DRAGON BALL FighterZ National Championship regional tournaments.
  2. From October through November 2020, regional DRAGON BALL FighterZ National Championship tournaments will be held in France, Spain, Japan, and in the US West & US East where our contenders will compete for their chance to play in the DRAGON BALL FighterZ National Championship Finals.
  3. In December 2020, the winners from each of these regional championships will then compete to determine a DRAGON BALL FighterZ National Championship grand champion.
  4. All tournaments will be livestreamed on Twitch at: https://www.twitch.tv/dragonballfighterz and on BANDAI NAMCO’s esports channel on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/bneesports
