The Outer Worlds

Obsidian Entertainment, Virtuous Games, and Private Division announced that the Switch release of The Outer Worlds is scheduled for June 5. You won't have long to wait before you can either pick up The Outer Worlds on either a physical cartridge release or through digital download via Nintendo's eShop. This is actually an updated release date for the game as it was initially slated to arrive in March instead of June.

That's the good news.

The bad news here is that the there is already a day one patch planned for the game. The worse news is that the patch could "take up to 6GB of space." The good news amongst that bad news though is that the patch adds in things like hi-res textures, some fixes, and other gameplay optimizations.

No matter where you choose to purchase The Outer Worlds, you will pay full price ($59.99 (USD) for the game on the Switch.
