A Switch release confirmed after PS4 and XB1 announcements.
Monstrum

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners won't be the only ones running for their lives. A Nintendo Switch release was announced today for the horror game Monstrum. Players will get to explore an abandoned cargo ship as they search for a way off. Of course, things aren't quite that simple. On the ship is a horrifying creature that will chase you nonstop.

Though the game takes place on the "same" ship each time, each new playthrough is actually procedurally generated. Items are never in the same place as a previous run. Not only that, but there are a few different monsters that will end up chasing you. You never really know which one the game decided to send after you until you encounter them, at random, during a run.

A PC release of Monstrum happened back in 2015 and can be purchased right now from either GOG or Steam. In fact, the PC release includes VR support. It's not clear if the consoles, namely the PlayStation 4, will include VR support or not. A sequel, Monstrum 2, is also currently in development (at least for PC). Monstrum 2 looks to change the formula up a bit with 4v1 multiplayer gameplay being the focus.

At release, the game will be available at retail stores and digitally for all console platforms.
