New characters and an all-new "Hot Seat" mode were announced today for Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition. This update, currently in development at Larian Studios, is slated to be released to all players on August 31.

The new Arena mode will allow you to play on your own, online multiplayer PvP, and a Hot Seat mode where you pass the controller for local gameplay. It also allows you to play some traditional modes like Classic Deathmatch, Kill th e King, and more. Let's take a look at what those are.

Keeping that August 31 release date in mind for this new content, it should be noted that this is the release date for the game on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
