    Super Sonic has been a staple of the Sonic games since the Genesis days. So it seems a little weird that becoming the golden speed demon in the underwhelming Sonic Forces will now be locked behind a paywall starting in January.

    Come January 23, SEGA will lock Super Sonic behind a $1.99 (USD) DLC paywall. Of course, you can always download the DLC now and have it for free, as it should always be. Though you must do so before the January cutoff date or you will have to pay.

    But why​?
