  • Prison of Elders Information Revealed for Destiny: House of Wolves Expansion

Earlier today, Bungie blew the lid off of the Prison of Elders game type coming in the House of Wolves expansion for Destiny. To put it simply, Bungie is adding in a game type that looks quite a bit like the multiplayer mode from Mass Effect 3, which isn't a bad thing at all.

If you missed the earlier live stream on Twitch, you can watch the VOD right now. If you don't want to sit through two hours that may be annoying to your senses, you can instead watch this 13 minute long overview video from Datto.

The Prison of Elders has you and two others playing through waves of enemies. There are eight new gameplay modifiers that will pop up along with new bosses to contend with. Success will provide you with some new gear. There are four different difficulty levels that you can play starting at level 28, then 32, then 34, and finally a level 35 difficulty. Each has their own set of risks and rewards. There will also be weekly challenges set up for the Prison of Elders.
