Famous speedrunner Cosmo recently broke the world record for shortest time to beat The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The run was completed in 18 minutes and 10 seconds. This run is the culmination of years of work and research from the speed running community, countless hours of practice, and a touch of good luck thrown in for good measure. He says that this is "the greatest speedrun (he's) ever done."
The video below offers up his in-depth commentary on the entire run and what went into achieving this incredibly low time.
Yes, this is a glitched run of the game but that certainly does not take away from the difficulty in what was accomplished here. Many of the tricks used are incredibly precise and often require far more skill than not utilizing glitches.

Over the past several weeks, the speed running community has absolutely broken open The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The record for Ocarina of Time any% went from just shy of 17 minutes as of six months ago, to just 12 minutes and 3 seconds as of 4 days ago. Yep, this includes the dungeons while Link is a child and includes a few tricks here and there. It was amazing live and it's still just as amazing now if you didn't catch it earlier. Skip to around the two minute mark below for the run to start.
