A new Fest has kicked off on Steam today and it's all about the Tower Defense genre. The aptly named Steam Tower Defense Fest is live from now through to March 16 at 10 AM PT. You can find big discounts on games that include some Tower Defense elements and games that are fully dedicated to the genre.
Interestingly, I saw word yesterday that Defense Grid 2 had new downloadable content released. Defense Grid 2 came out on September 23, 2014. Yes, 2014. The new Aftermath DLC for Defense Grid 2 is the first paid DLC released for the game. That is pretty wild. The game is also really good and thanks to the Tower Defense Fest, the base game is on sale for 62% off.
Of course, Defense Grid 2 isn't the only Tower Defense game on sale. There are also some really popular games such as Dungeon Defenders, Bloons TD 6, and The Riftbreaker all on sale as well. Newer Tower Defense games that have found some success with fans of the genre are also on sale. These games include ITER-8, Tangy TD, and Wirerush.
There are hundreds of Tower Defense games to browse. Just make sure to do so before March 16 at 10 AM PT so you can get a good deal!
