Not to be outdone by today's major news, Valve announced their own big event slated for February 23: A new Steam Next Fest. Alright, maybe it's not as big of an announcement as leads of Xbox retiring, but it's probably pretty close.
The February 2026 edition of the Steam Next Fest will begin on February 23 at 10 AM PT. This will begin a full week of free demos of games across all genres. Like always, you are free to play and enjoy (or hate) as many demos as you would like. You can even wishlist those that you truly enjoyed so you get a notification when the full games release.
There are also going to be developer chats and livestreams of games shared throughout the week if you would rather watch a game than play a game.
