Electronic Arts reported their third quarter financials today for its current fiscal year ending March 2025. As part of the report, Electronic Arts shared that they expect to see the new Battlefield game, assumed to be Battlefield 6, to be released during EA's fiscal year 2026.
For Electronic Arts, their fiscal year 2026 runs from April 2025 through to the end of March 2026. This means that as of right now, Electronic Arts expects the new Battlefield game to be released at some point during that span of time.
So while this isn't yet a firm release date, it does narrow the release window considerably from the "completely unknown" it was prior.

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios shared that brief glimpse of gameplay footage when they announced their community testing program, Battlefield Labs. If you haven't yet gotten through the massive queue for Battlefield Labs registration, I will say that it's going a bit faster today. You're still going to have a very long wait though, so perhaps waiting until later in the week to sign up is the smart play.
