Step into the The Backwoods of rural Appalachia with Fallout 76's latest update. In case you couldn't tell, the update is named The Backwoods, and it gives players the opportunity to participate in a number of Public Events and a chance to tangle with Bigfoot directly.
Players who are successful in the Public Events will try to take down Bigfoot as quickly as possible. Those that are able to bring down the Bigfoot within five minutes will receive four-star legendary rewards or the challenge-exclusive "Thrill Seekers" mod. Bigfoot making an appearance is not guaranteed but he is supposedly drawn to the "frenzied action in Public Events," so it's advised to join as many of those events as possible.
This Fallout 76 update also makes some changes to Public Events and Activities throughout the game. This overhaul includes rebalanced enemies, richer rewards, and dangerous three-star Uninvited Guests that may show up near the end of Public Events. The Backwoods also brings some changes to enemy level scaling and other quality-of-life-improvements such as vanity lights for Photo Mode, updated Pip-boy UI, and more.
Of course, a new season for Fallout 76 has kicked off today. Fallout 76's Season 24: Rip Daring and the Cryptids Beyond the Cosmos is live. This season will see players hunting down aliens known as the Zetans. You will get trophies and other season exclusive rewards.
