The brutal battlefields of Hell Let Loose are shifting to the dense jungles of Southeast Asia. In 2026, the franchise continues with Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. This release will plunge players into one of the most iconic and foolish (at least for the US) conflicts of the 20th century. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam aims to further its goal of historical accuracy by teaming up with the Royal Armouries.
Publisher Team17 and developer Expression Games have announced a collaboration with one of the most prestigious historical institutions in the world: the Royal Armouries, the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armor. This partnership began in July 2024 and had members of Expression Games visiting the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
During the visit, the team was able to capture high-fidelity 3D scans of real weapons. They also took additional photographs and video to replicate scratches, markings, and finer details on the weapons. Furthermore, they also obtained audio recordings of the actual weapons being handled and fired. All of this data is being integrated into Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.
Jack Wanstall, Senior Licensing & Partnerships Manager at the Royal Armouries, commented on the collaboration:
The Royal Armouries is delighted to support Expression Games and Team17 on this exciting new title. As one of the world’s leading museums of arms and armour, we are committed to sharing our collections and expertise with new audiences. This partnership allows us to bring an element of historical accuracy into the interactive entertainment space, offering players vivid in-game detail and fresh ways to engage with the stories and heritage that the Royal Armouries preserves.
