Pools, the liminal space game full of huge deserted swimming spaces is about to make a splash on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2. The game from developer Tensori is slated for release on the PlayStation platforms on November 25, 2025. For those who want to try the game out ahead of that release, a demo is available right now through the PlayStation Store.
The PlayStation 5 release will include the base game and the Chapter 0 expansion, which was released for the PC version back in April 2025. The PlayStation VR2 mode is free with a purchase of the game. For those without a PlayStation 5 or who just want to play on PC, Pools is currently 25% off on Steam.
And now here are some tiny screenshots that were included in this press release.
POOLS invites players into a world of vast, deserted public swimming spaces and submerged corridors, blending haunting liminal architecture with the soothing and at times unsettling presence of emptiness. Is someone watching you? Are they there with you? Is this perhaps just a dream? You’re never quite sure.
Developed by Tensori, a team of four in Finland, POOLS became an unexpected phenomenon after its debut. It went on to win the “Best Creative Achievement of the Year” at the Finnish Game Awards, earned a 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, and allowed the developers at Tensori to turn their passion project into a sustainable studio.
