  • Update Released for Nvidia App Beta, Plus New Drivers for Throne and Liberty

RTX HDR now supported for multi-monitor setups.

A new GeForce Game Ready Driver is out today from Nvidia. This update adds support for things like DLSS, Reflex, and RTX to a handful of new titles. Perhaps more importantly, a new update was released for the beta version of the Nvidia app. This is the program that Nvidia will eventually replace extremely outdated Nvidia Control Panel with.

Today's update for the Nvidia app adds in some much requested features from users. First up, the app now allows you to adjust G-Sync controls and rollback a driver if you need to for any reason. Something that I've seen requested a lot around the web is RTX HDR multi-monitor support. You're in luck because Nvidia has added support for RTX HDR multi-monitor support with this app update paired with today's new driver update.

The new GeForce Game Ready driver is 565.90 WHQL. It adds support for the titles listed below but the full release notes can be found on the Nvidia site (PDF link).

This week, we’re announcing 5 new RTX technology updates:
    • THRONE AND LIBERTY: NCSoft’s free-to-play MMORPG taking place in the vast open world of Solisium. Players must use strategic decisions to survive, while weather, time of day, and other players affect both PVE and PVP battlefields. While already released in Korea, it launches everywhere today. Since day one of its original release, GeForce RTX gamers have been able to accelerate performance with DLSS 3, multiplying performance on average by 2.6X at 4K, with all settings maxed out.
    • Until Dawn: Face your fears once again and determine who survives Until Dawn in this seminal horror classic, rebuilt and enhanced for PC. Rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, Until Dawn also offers PC gamers the opportunity to further enhance fidelity with ray-traced reflections and ray-traced ambient occlusion effects. And if you play on a GeForce RTX 40 Series PC you can also enable DLSS Frame Generation and DLSS Super Resolution accelerating Until Dawn’s performance and making gameplay even more responsive when the game launches October 4th.
    • Starship Troopers: Extermination: Join the Deep Space Vanguard, an elite Special Forces branch of the Mobile Infantry, in the fight against the Bug menace and claim victory for humanity. This 16-player co-op first-person shooter from Offworld Industries launches October 11th, and if you own a GeForce RTX 40 Series GPU or laptop, you can activate DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Super Resolution, aiding you in your fight against the Bug menace.
    • The Axis Unseen: This heavy metal horror game from Just Purkey Games invites players to hunt nightmarish monsters from ancient folklore in a mysterious open world. Find out what happened to the hunters who came before you and what secrets they uncovered by inspecting their journals and drawings. The Axis Unseen launches October 22nd with day-one support for both DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Reflex. You can download the demo from Steam now for a first-look at the game.
    • MechWarrior 5: Clans: In this new title from Piranha Games, take on the role of a newly graduated pilot from the Smoke Jaguar cadet program, thrust into the heart of the Clan Invasion of the Inner Sphere during Operation Revival. As the first Clan-based MechWarrior game in nearly three decades, it combines a captivating narrative with well-crafted characters and moral dilemmas, culminating in a dynamic and adaptive combat experience enhanced by a revamped MechLab, Hardpoint, and OmniPod system. Launching on October 17th, it will feature day-one support for both NVIDIA Reflex and DLSS 3 with DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation.
